Mean arterial pressure (estimated)
Estimate cycle-averaged arterial pressure from systolic and diastolic readings.
Intended population: Blood pressure measurements with systolic pressure at least diastolic pressure; conventional resting-cycle approximation.
- An approximation rather than directly measured MAP. Heart rate and arterial waveform affect accuracy; use a validated measured value when clinical decisions require it.
